Q:  What is the goal of tallmansclothing.com?
A:
We are aspiring to fill the current void in tall menswear in the area of “fitted” fashion.  The term "fitted" (also known as tapered, slim or European cut) refers to the emerging slim-fit designs in today's fashion, especially shirts.  As fitted styles have increased in popularity, tall men have waited in disgust as their usual reliable source for tall menswear, Big & Tall stores, continued to stock their shelves with exclusively "big" inventory.  While rising US obesity levels explains some of their thinking, it is astonishing how much they have missed the boat.  And for those who have caught on, their inventory doesn't come cheap in most cases.  As such , our goals are as follows:
  1. Provide useful links and reviews of existing online retailers that offer ample fitted fashion for tall and fit males, accompanied with reviews and rankings.
  2. Gather valuable market research from you, the tall consumer, to better understand your needs.  Please consider taking our Questionnaire.  Your answers will be confidential and most of the questions do not require mandatory responses.
  3. Our ultimate goal is to place our TNB FitTM products in Big & Tall storefronts to allow tall men to try on our fitted inventory in stores to ensure a proper fit, a perk tall males have been deprived of for too long.
  4. Similarly, we will encourage respected but notoriously "short" brands to go taller and distribute their inventory to B&T retailers, as well as you, the online consumer.

Q: What exactly is “tall and fit” by your definition?
A: If you are 6′2″ to 6′11″ (or shorter, but with long arms) and are of slim, average, or athletic build, specifically a body mass index
of 15-27(calculate BMI here http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm), then you fit the profile!  Push that up a bit higher if you are muscular.

Q: If stylish, relatively affordable fitted fashion already exists, why launch a new brand?
A: Sure, some retailers offer stylish inventory online, but all of them are overpriced and frankly have started cutting corners to a laughable degree in terms of fabric quality/thickness.  In addition, some "tall" lines define tall as 6'-1" to "-6-3".   6 foot-three!!  Our sizing matrix aspires to fill the needs of those of varying girth and height.
